Unless otherwise noted, the Woman’s Club of York teas/events will be held at our Clubhouse, 228 East Market Street, York, PA at 1:00 PM on the third Friday of the month. All programs are open to the public with a fee of $5.00.

Join us to enjoy improvisational performances by members of the DreamWrights Theater of York County. The performances will be in honor of Elizabeth Johnson, a recently deceased member of the Woman’s Club. We will have our grandchildren (Princes and Princesses) as guests at this Tea.

WINTER WHITE TEA

Let’s come together to enjoy the music of the season. Enjoy “Christmas on Broadway” presented by “Three’s a Company,” a local performing group featuring singers Chris Quigley and Christine Emig, accompanied by Jacquie Sutton.

In keeping with the spirit of the season we will have as our special guests the recipients of the Community Service Donations.

In addition, once again, we will be holding our Holiday Sweet Shop. An array of home baked goodies will be available for purchase that day.

Plan to spend a delightful Fall afternoon at the Clubhouse where you will be treated to an  array of delicious wines and cheeses. In addition, our host, Eric Salzano, will conduct tours of his extensive art collection throughout the building. Great fellowship and conversation will be the order of the day. OUR FOUNDING FATHERS

Dr. Robert Frick E.D.D will be our guest speaker.  His topic will be “Together, they laid the foundation for the United States”. They are our six “Founding Fathers”: Jay, Hamilton, Adams, Jefferson, Madison and Monroe. In these times going back to the beginning of how it should be may be a good idea. See what you think.

FLOWERS AND HERB GARDEN PARTY

Is an herb a flower?  Is there a silent “h” in the word herb? Can I eat this? These and other questions about the miracle of herbs and the enchantment of flowers will be our April Tea topic. Flowers and herbs have many uses. They may enhance your table with beauty and fragrance. Herbs are used as well for medicinal benefits. You may be surprised to learn there are herbs lurking in your flowerbeds and are food sources waiting to be picked and included in your savory dishes.

Including Installation of Officers and Scholarship Presentation

Guest Speaker, Sean Free, Vice President of Sales and Ticketing with the Nederlander Marketing Company. We will hear an interesting and unique presentation entitled “Behind The Curtain Of Broadway”. Sean will transport us back stage into the world of Broadway.

“Behind The Curtain Of Broadway” presenter – Sean Free is a graduate from New York University. Sean started his career 25 years ago as company manager – company management credits include the Addams Family, Mary Stuart, Spamlot, Mark Twain Tonight, Movin Out, Chicago, Closer, Cats, Sunset Blvd., and many more. Currently Sean is Vice President of Sales & Ticketing. Sean joined the Nederlander Organization in 2011 to supervise the operation of Nederlander Marketing, one of the largest owners of legitimate theaters in the world, as well as one of the largest theatrical producing organizations in North America. Sean will transport us back stage into the world of broadway!
