Unless otherwise noted, the Woman’s Club of York teas/events will be held at our Clubhouse, 228 East Market Street, York, PA at 1:00 PM on the third Friday of the month. All programs are open to the public with a fee of $5.00.

Sign in:  11:30 AM • Lunch: 12 Noon

This is one of our biggest fund raising events of the year, so be sure to invite your friends to join you for lunch and card games of your choice. There will be an array of lovely baskets to be auctioned, plus 50/50 raffles, door prize drawings and prizes for card winners. Doors open at 11:30 and lunch at 12 noon.

Want a beautiful arrangement to display on your Thanksgiving Day table? In this hands-on project, members will create their own centerpieces under the professional supervision of member, Tonya Young.

Let’s pay tribute to our past president, Jacqueline Sutton, by enjoying the music performed by the remaining members of the “Three’s A Company” group, Chris Quigley and Christine Emig. We are delighted that they will be accompanied today by Jacquie’s daughter Robin.
Presentation of Community Service Gifts – In keeping with the Woman’s Club holiday spirit of giving, we will present community recipients with monetary donations.
Holiday Sweet Shop – Once again we will be offering an array of home baked goodies for purchase today. Please donate baked items if you are able.

CHOCOLATE TEA

The word “Chocolate” entered the English language from the Spanish in about 1600. There are an array of different types of chocolate. So if you love chocolate, this program is for you!!!

Since 1942, York’s Premier Chocolatier, Anstine’s Homemade Candy and its third generation of family chocolatiers has been creating fine hand crafted confections.

Anna Belle Anstine will be presenting our program! Join us for a delightful afternoon of learning about chocolate and sampling Anstine’s delicious chocolates!

CELEBRATING WOMEN IN HISTORY TEA

Ever wonder how the Woman’s Club began and who were the like-minded women organizers?  What was the main focus in the early years and as the times changed did their focus change?   When was the clubhouse purchased and how much did it cost? These answers and many more interesting facts will be discovered as an “unnamed play” written by Jacquie Sutton and first performed at the 100th anniversary dinner back in 2004 will be presented.

CHERRY BLOSSOM TEA

The United States has produced many great women artists, but it’s not always easy/convenient to view their works in the great art museums. Don’t let that stop you from experiencing great modern and contemporary American Women Artists. Our speaker, Ellen Ehlenbeck, will guide us on a virtual tour of her favorite pieces from this subject matter all from the comfort of our beautiful club house.

ANTIQUE APPRAISAL FAIR
10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Location: Odd Fellows Mt. Zion Lodge 74, 525 Greenwood Road, York PA 17408

Several Appraisers will be available to appraise your clocks, jewelry, furniture, advertising, artwork, memorabilia, glassware, and more. Is your item too large to carry? Photographs are welcome.

Donation: $15.00 appraisal fee collected for up to three items. (1-3 items $15.00, 4-6 items $30.00, 7-9 items $45.00) No limit to the number of items you may bring.
