Dear WCY Members,

I’m sure we will be more than happy when Spring arrives! Woman’s Club has had two wonderful meetings so far this year to brighten up our days.

The January meeting at the Odd Fellow’s Lodge was a great opportunity to get to know everyone better and have some time to talk. We had a delicious lunch, over the top desserts, and games were fun.

I’ve gotten so much positive feedback on our February luncheon and programs at CCY. Former Yorker and Penn State professor Dr. Dorothy King presented a program on the making of her play “Susquehanna to Freedom: The Role of the Susquehanna River in the Underground Railroad.”

Willie Foster and Dr. Jan Taylor then presented our generous donations to nine different organizations. A representative of each one was present and gave a brief description of their mission.

This is only the beginning of another gratifying year. Looking forward to seeing you.
